A while ago, I did a styled wedding shoot that involved the use of a couple of Doris Designs petticoats – well, the owner of Doris Designs, Tania, loved the photos and got in touch with me about using the images on her site. One thing led to another and pretty soon we were discussing the idea of my daughter, Ysella, modelling some of Tania’s gorgeous petticoats. Once the petticoats arrived, I decided that they’d be wasted on just one little girl getting to play dress-up, so I invited some of her friends to join us for a Vintage-Styled Petticoat Picnic. Marie, my second shooter and an amazing portrait photographer in her own right, brought her daughter Sofie along and kindly second shot for me. This is the result:

Alexa - This is a stunning shoot – possibly my favourites of yours ever! I love them all – just gorgeous! Lucky Doris Designs and lucky little girls, looks awesome fun…love the moody boy too! x
Eliza - Thanks, Alexa! The moody boy would be my other child! He wanted to be in the photos but also wanted to sulk, I think the effect is pretty cool – fed-up boy surrounded by pinkness!
Charlotte - WOW fab – I think I need lots of these petticoats!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xxxxxxxxxx
Tola - Really love the skirts. What’s a girlie picnic sans pink milk – perfect x
Alexandra McNicol - Ysella is just so cool!!!
Absolutely adore these photos, and really wish we lived closer as Hope and Chloe would’ve loved to have joined in!
