I am SO excited to be sharing this news at last, after a good few months of behind the scenes planning. I am talking at the Photography Farm’s Farm Week in January! For those that don’t know about The Photography Farm (where have you been??) it’s a 3 day residential workshop hosted by the insanely talented Lisa Devlin where people get to learn about wedding photography, from the ground up. Lisa had the idea a little while ago to launch Farm Week – a week-long, non-residential event where you can pick and choose who you want to go and learn from. Lisa has an amazing line up of guests, including Kirsty Mitchell of Wonderland fame, and Brooke Davis, the photographer who caused such a stir on Rock’nRoll Bride with her Non-Wedding styled shoot. And that’s just for starters – with so many amazing, wonderful people there all week, there’s just so much to learn! Plus me!
I’m going to be doing a 2 hour talk about the business of Boudoir photography – covering how to attract the right clients, how to integrate it into your wedding or portrait business without alienating existing clients, how to stand out in the marketplace and how to shoot boudoir in the way that YOU want to, to make your business a success. Then, the following day, I’m going to be running a 4 hour masterclass for just 10 people, where you can see me pose for different body shapes, shoot with natural and artificial light and work with the models. Then you’ll get a chance to shoot with my guidance. After that, we’ll sit down together and edit some images – you can see how I work, and I can give you feedback on your images.
The Farm is an amazing place – it’s hard to describe just how great it is, but magic truly happens there. I am BUZZING with excitement about this, and I know that it’s going to be a business-changing event for everyone who attends!
